Pros

My team is great and many of the directors, managers and individual contributors are some of the coolest folks out there.

Cons

The company has slowly been going downhill ever since being acquired by Clarke Capital in early 2022. Despite repeated reassurances that the company was staying a remote-first workforce, in early April 2023 CEO James Clarke dropped a bombshell announcement on the entire company, ordering all employees within 50 miles of the new office building to return to in-office work 4 days a week, with a mere 2 week notice to prepare. He also announced the end of one of the greatest perks Clearlink had to offer (working half days on Fridays). This announcement was coupled with numerous layoffs, despite previous indications no more layoffs were coming. Everything about this decision - how it was decided, how it was communicated, how it has been implemented - has been a disaster. After a week-long wait, employees attended a virtual town hall where the expectation was to receive more information and answers to our many valid questions about this life-altering decision. Instead of receiving answers to our questions, we were instead subjected to a bizarre, disrespectful 45-minute tirade from the CEO. Employees were left in shock as he collectively berated us for not working hard enough, bragged about his work ethic and charitable donations that no one else can match, and took potshots at the previous CEO's career beginnings, among many other appalling remarks. Even worse, he refused to answer any of our completely legitimate questions, calling them "nonsense" and "litter". Needless to say, employee productivity and morale has tanked in the past few weeks, multiple people have already quit, and dozens more are actively looking to get out. While it's possible Clearlink recovers and eventually thrives again, it is a dumpster fire right now and I can't recommend working here.

Cons

Clearlink went from a CEO that didn’t give a single care about the employees to new leadership that seems to care now but with that, I feel like the new people aren’t aware of what’s really going on. When you’re hired here, boy, do they sell you the dream! Everything is good, and slowly you start to lose hope & very quickly you learn this company is going downhill one way or another. I was part of the social team for years. We were promised growth and new opportunities and that NEVER happened. We’d bring up concerns about leadership in our individual team and the concerns were NEVER taken seriously, because as I easily learned, this company is like high school, they will protect their friends even if it means losing a brand partner. The higher ups will have random meeting to talk about the department & there’s specific higher ups who feel the need to show off their Disney trips/cruises while some of us are struggling to even keep up with bills and living paycheck to paycheck. Overall, there’s A LOT of broken promises on growth. Pay sucks and it’s hard to get a pay raise. Any concern you bring to a higher up will leave you ignored or they won’t do anything about it. Your career won’t grow here unless you’re BFFs with higher ups that have been there forever.
