Pros

They offer benefits after only 30 days. Free lunch once a month at the place I worked, every week for California corporate office.

Cons

Don't expect to get any help from your team, they will just stab you in the back and go to your supervisor telling them things you did wrong, all while constantly making their own mistakes. Management was a joke, you have a manager who wants to be in control of everything, nepotism is outrageous here, and people are just not very friendly. My first week on the job and I had a woman in another department trying to be my boss. The benefits are absolutely horrible, most of the places I go don't even know what the insurance is! The stretching and health stuff is completely overboard. No diversity or culture.

You are correct in that our benefits do kick-in on the first of the month 30 days after the start of employment. However, we do offer many great benefits such as a significant wellness discount, employee discounts, and substantial 401K matching which we believe is what makes us competitive. Battery Systems is very focused on the safety and wellness of our employees, as most of them are lifting, reaching, and squatting with heavy materials daily. To lessen the change of an injury, we have implemented morning stretches at all of our branches. We are sorry to know you did not find these exercises helpful for you during your time at Battery Systems. Pros

Strict no overtime policy resulted in consistent work schedules and work life balance. Gained valuable skills and maintained inventory accuracy with the WMS. Developed strong attention to detail due to the high accuracy needed for the job.

Cons

Denied combined cost of living and performance increase based on a single day of lateness, resulting in a corrective action report. Company handbook specifies that any corrective action prevents receiving either increase. Disconnected corporate structure and poor communication from main office. Branch mostly left unsupervised but held to unclear standards without training. High turnover due to management unwilling to pay living wage, causing difficulty hiring and retaining staff, especially in higher cost areas. Company focus on short-term 'resilience training' shifts the burden of burnout to employees, rather than addressing systemic issues like unlivable wages and profit-driven management practices.
