Pros

Devoted to helping employees develop their skills through consistant training and mentoring. Management goes out of their way to help employees progress and move up within the company structure. In as big a company as this, it's great to see the owner make personal visits to all the locations and visit with employees, always giving meaningful advise on how to improve and become the best in the industry. This company is forward thinking and very customer service driven. It's nice to work for a company that will put the customer and employee first.

Cons

None that I can think of at this time.

Thanks for the note! Yes, we like that Brad visits the branches and reviews results with the team members too! Thank you for the emphasis regarding providing a feeling of ownership. Sponsoring the freedom to have an entrepreneurial spirit is a benefit at Battery Systems that allows us to retain a small-company feel and responsiveness. The price: less procedure, fewer board meetings, more freedom to define your success. Not everyone likes this. There is nothing to hide behind for an entrepreneur. You must find a way to succeed that brings others along with you. So far, our history points to this working well. Keep up the awesome work! Best Regards, Todd Scott Director of HR

Pros

Strict no overtime policy resulted in consistent work schedules and work life balance. Gained valuable skills and maintained inventory accuracy with the WMS. Developed strong attention to detail due to the high accuracy needed for the job.

Cons

Denied combined cost of living and performance increase based on a single day of lateness, resulting in a corrective action report. Company handbook specifies that any corrective action prevents receiving either increase. Disconnected corporate structure and poor communication from main office. Branch mostly left unsupervised but held to unclear standards without training. High turnover due to management unwilling to pay living wage, causing difficulty hiring and retaining staff, especially in higher cost areas. Company focus on short-term 'resilience training' shifts the burden of burnout to employees, rather than addressing systemic issues like unlivable wages and profit-driven management practices.
