Pros

The office is beautiful and in an amazing location. You spend up spending so much time at work that your co-workers become your work family! Some really amazing people work here. Cortland is a place where you can be anyone you want to be, the career opportunities are endless!

Cons

"Cortlandia" is just that, a made up place. Nothing is as it seems on the outside at Cortland. Total chaos everyday. They go from putting out one fire to the next everyday. There are too many office politics and too many people in the "in crowd"

Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear that you developed great working relationships with your peers at Cortland. Our concentration is focused on keeping our humble roots and our collaborative culture as our organization continues to grow into a larger workplace. You are correct that career opportunities are endless here. Our executive team is proud that we are not a bureaucratic environment because they want every Cortland associate to be able to share their thoughts on revamping the multifamily industry. If you observed office politics, we wish this was expressed to your manager or even a member from an executive team. The more we collaborate all together, the more successful we will become! If you also believe we need to improve our hiring process, please reach out to any of our members on the Talent Acquisition team. We have a high number of open jobs due to our growth, so we accept any advice to keep us on the right track!

Hard to grow, big prefference on external candidates. For higher roles, not a stable working environment
