Pros
Cortland partners is by far the best company I've ever worked for. The hiring process was intense and very thorough. I really appreciated that because it assured me that I would be working with people who had been tested, challenged and met certain criteria. There was definitely a feeling of family when it came to the entire company portfolio. Although it was the most demanding job I've ever had, I looked forward to each day and what new things I would learn or get excited about. The corporate outfit for this company is very respectable, educated, experienced in many fields and surprisingly kind hearted! There is unlimited support, a person for any possible question or need and all you have to do is ask .Lastly, the bonus program is unmatched!
Cons
The company is full of wonderful ideas but roll out some of those ideas without testing them first. This makes for double work and long hours. There are too many reports. There is a report for reports or so it seemed! Work/life balance is tough. The folks at the CSC (corp. headquarters) work crazy long hours and it felt like that was expected for the site level employees as well . Not just for salaried but even hourly employees. I would like to see company ease up just a little. Still, all of that aside, I'd go back in a heartbeat if they acquire any communities in my town.
