Pros
None that I can think of.
Cons
I worked within the Cortland Group for 2 years and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The senior leaders of the company are completely detached from the rest of the group, and there is a severe lack of basic support for employees. Firstly, the company does not provide essential equipment such as phones and tablets, which are crucial for effective work in this digital age. Additionally, employees are expected to handle all out-of-hours issues without any structured rota, severely impacting work-life balance. Moreover, I was deeply troubled by the blatant poor company culture. Furthermore, the company's corporate social responsibility ethos is merely tokenistic, and there are no meaningful support systems in place for disabled individuals. This lack of inclusivity is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's values. Lastly, when I resigned, there was no acknowledgment or even a simple goodbye from management , which left me feeling unappreciated and undervalued. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against considering employment within the group due to its poor leadership, lack of basic support, discriminatory culture, and disregard for employee well-being.
