Cons
Being a part of an exponentially growing company will understandably have ups and downs, but being the only person to hold down the role (managing 5 inboxes/folders and two phone lines) truly wears one down over time. New representatives to support are brought on monthly which is collateral with the business growth you will have to keep up with as well. Management in this role is disorganized, unsupportive, unprofessional and inappropriate. Often felt like I was the one who needed support a lot of time - Being completely overwhelmed with the workload while management is out and about, making jokes around the office rather than tag teaming to bring the load down. Most representatives did not have support for hours to days at a time as the load was too much to handle, leaving them without the assistance and information they need to be successful in their role. Additionally, there is so much nepotism in the environment. Many higher-ups in the company will ignore your hello’s or close doors on you despite knowing you were about to enter. Lastly, the company is growing too quickly for its own good. Continuing to hire on new reps to generate business and make sales for a product we do not currently have which affects customers, multiple departments as well as the field in negative aspects. No work life balance - No sick days, only a few holidays a year. Low pay for the workload. Gap insurance.
