Pros
You will get a meal 50% off after your shift, but you can't take it home, you have to throw it away if you cant finish, which I find absolutely ridiculous since you are only allowed one meal per day. Coworkers work hard and work together, I'm glad most of us knew how to collaborate and get things done faster. The PAR system is okay but if you work more than one position it gets a little confusing on when you can promote. Discounts in the store is nice.
Cons
No breaks!! None at all! Doesnt matter if you're working an 8 hour shift, no break for you. I applied for one position and was hired to be a host instead. I was told after a few weeks that I would not have to work that position anymore. It's been a lot longer than a few weeks and I'm still a host, which is not a good job. It isn't meant to be a fulltime position. Almost every hosts quits, and the turnover rate is quite high for other positions in the store too. You always have to pick up the slack for others who constantly call out/no show. Some of your coworkers will be incredibly rude and hateful for no reason, especially the servers if you are hosting. Managers are always screaming at the kitchen staff and servers to "HURRY IT UP!!" Because everything is about being as fast and hurried as possible, a lot of customers are uncomfortable and feel rushed. Sometimes tables are completely cleared when a customer uses the bathroom!! The retail staff is put under too much pressure to sell sell sell and meet quotas, which isnt fair to them. It also isn't fair to the servers that there is no bussser except on Sundays, and said busser must leave the dish room and not get his job done to bus tables! Some people in the store will be here from 5:30 AM to 9 PM at night and it's taking a toll on their health. They only get like an hour or two long break which is not right. saw one person nearly fall asleep because she was so exhausted. I feel like we're working in a sweatshop.
