Pros

Credence provided institutional support contractors for USAID. It was one of the largest employers for the USAID Bureau for Global Health and Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance

Cons

Credence is only interested in their bottom line and corporate greed. Having been an institutional support contractor with USAID for ten years across four different employers, Credence was the worst employer - benefits were slashed compared to previous USAID contracts, no sick leave, only 2 weeks paid parental leave, vacation and other benefits slashed. During the USAID stop work orders, in January 2025, rather than furlough staff as other USAID partners did or treat us with any dignity whatsoever, Credence abruptly fired all of their USAID Bureau for Global Health staff and directed their sub-partner, Public Health Institute, to fire all staff as well. No severance, no notice, immediately locked out of email and other systems, health benefits ended three days later. I was 30 weeks pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy when Credence abruptly me and all Bureau for Global Health staff. Credence is a horrible place to work and they do not care about you.

Pros

Credence is a wonderful place to work. The company provides a supportive and family-oriented environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally. Management is very supportive, and my immediate supervisor is professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. I have had many opportunities to learn new skills and continue developing my career. Overall, Credence is an excellent organization for professional growth and continuous learning.

Cons

I do not have any negative comments. My experience at Credence has been very positive, and I have not encountered any significant issues during my time with the company.

Pros

The company is highly adaptable to the evolving federal contracting landscape and does a great job communicating its mission. Employees understand the reasoning behind decisions and how their work fits into the company’s broader goals. Senior leadership is approachable and open to feedback from all levels of the organization. Supervisors are incredibly caring, engaged, and supportive. They are the best I’ve experienced at any employer.

Cons

I do not have any major cons to share. One adjustment for new employees may be getting used to the company’s flat leadership structure. Credence truly gives employees the opportunity to take ownership of their work, regardless of title or level. At first, this can take some getting used to, especially if you are coming from a more traditional organization. Because the company genuinely operates this way, it may take time to understand certain processes or know exactly who to contact for specific questions. Once you get oriented, though, this approach becomes one of the company’s strengths.
