Pros

Nice building, friendly coworkers, ample parking

Cons

Training is a joke. No curriculum, no compliance. Equipment outdated, software not utilized fully. Everyone here has a side gig, pay is inadequate unless you are a VP or C suite. Upper management absent a lot.

At Credit Union West, we are committed to investing in both the personal and professional growth of our team members. We dedicate time each week to employee development, including opening two hours later on Wednesdays to provide opportunities for training, learning, and career growth. We continually encourage employees to take advantage of these resources and are disappointed that your experience did not reflect the value we place on development. Regarding compliance training, all employees are required to complete multiple mandatory training courses each year covering areas such as regulatory compliance, information security, harassment prevention, and workplace policies. While we understand experiences can differ, we take compliance education seriously and maintain ongoing training requirements across the organization. We also believe in maintaining accessible and engaged leadership. While we operate with a hybrid work environment, our executive and senior leadership teams are expected to be on-site regularly and remain highly accessible through open-door policies, company town halls, leadership meetings, and direct communication channels—including the ability for employees to reach out directly to our CEO with questions, ideas, or concerns. In addition, we are in a relatively new corporate headquarters and regularly invest in our technology and equipment, with refresh cycles designed to ensure our employees have the tools they need to be successful. That said, we recognize that there is always room for improvement and appreciate hearing different perspectives. Thank you for taking the time to provide your thoughts. Feedback—both positive and constructive—helps us continue to evaluate our programs, processes, and employee experience as we work to continue to make Credit Union West a great place to build a career.
