Pros

A few really great people to work with. It's a decent job to have in between better gigs.

Cons

Leadership can be great, or absolutely toxic depending on which shift you're assigned. Expectations between the different "sergeants" can vary wildly but overall the company seems to have a paramilitary/state trooper copycat mindset. Wages are stagnant, and I mean 15 years behind the curve stagnant. Health insurance options are terrible. Working 80 hour work weeks and pulling overtime will barely get you by, especially if you're supporting a family. Opportunity for advancement is nonexistent. They'll make you attend mandatory training and maintain state cerifications that YOU have to pay for, and if you have to travel for their annual training or extra work its on your wallet to cover it. The equipment and uniforms they use are all used, with an old officers name and rank (and occasionally smell) still attached, but you're expected to make it work and uphold their grooming and uniform standards. Overall, they seem to want people who desperately want to be a law enforcement agent with less than half the pay and none of the benefits.
