Pros

This is a great place to start if you have never worked in banking. Company is willing to fully train new banking employees while most other banks won't give you a chance. Very inclusive environment, all employees are fully willing and capable of training you. Benefits are pretty much what every company offers nothing special.

Cons

Pay is not good at all, being hired into a personal banker supervisor role this has actually paid me less yearly than any job I've held in the past 10 years. 45,000 is my starting pay which is unreal with the number of things and responsibilities that come with the position. Only paid twice per month so my payroll check after taxes and benefits is only 1300 which is 2600 per month literally not enough to survive on in this economy. You have to drive to downtown Cleveland for training and pay for parking so starting out if you are in a position where money is tight or you have no current income this will not work for you. You will spend more money in the time training that you actually make in your paycheck, and they do not reimburse for certain trainings that you are required to attend. Random nights throughout the month you are required to stay after shift to call customer for example customers with over drawn accounts mainly because this can be done through the day because in every branch i have been in has enough downtime to do that throughout the day. Mixed reviews on advancement most companies usually hire within first but i have seen them hire more from outside for management roles. Leads me to believe employees don't get promoted on stay long enough for promotions turn over seems pretty high. With the current rate of pay it saddens me to say I'm unsure if this can be a long-term company the economy just does not allow for this type of pay and what I've gotten from a few people in upper management those running branches they aren't making much more and are in a similar position. This company is one of the lowest paying companies in comparison to other banks including small banks.

Pros

Plenty of opportunity at dollar for growing your knowledge and experience. Leadership does care about their people and there is a a fair bit of access to executive management. Benefits are pretty good with insurance, gym reimbursement, 401k match and other things.

Cons

Performance incentives are sorely lacking here. If you are a high performer, you get the same performance incentive distributed into your 401k as someone who is average. Management also has a track record of adding responsibilities but not necessarily increasing compensation. The other main item is that the majority of employees have started and stayed at dollar. Coming in externally with difference experiences can be challenging.
