Pros

There are a lot of great dedicated people to work with. Pay is competitive and benefits are average, although insurance is costly. Local management is very approachable and willing to hear your ideas.

Cons

Unfortunately, the company has adopted two strategies to save money and improve the bottom line: 1. Staff reductions to drive process improvement. Roles are eliminated and remaining employees are expected to improve processes in order to return to a normal workload. 2. Process Improvement to drive staff reductions. The basic principle of continuous improvement is to create more time for value-added activity. The company is valuing cost cutting ahead of increasing activity to add value. The danger is that, after enough iterations of this cycle, roles become totally task oriented and workers lose time for creativity. Without creativity, there is no growth for the worker or the company. Workers realize they are not growing and leave for other opportunities. EPC loses it's best and brightest.

Pros

Company is good with the communication, and they genuinely care about the people.

Cons

Many plants within the organization lack structure and the management was not proactive to retain the experienced staff which creates delays in the projects.
