Pros

If you are the right person you can steal from the company.

Cons

I started as a temporary employee in December 2013 with Spherion. I could not help to notice that Person in management nose was purple. Being an electronic technician for 30 years working in a few shops I could not believe the electric shop. I also noticed many safety issues in the plant, I was afraid to say anything or I would be out the door. The shift leader group was very rude. When I complained about his actions I was told he gets the production numbers. Then he pulled young ladies safety glasses off her face and threw them on the floor and smashed them with his boot. Surprisingly they terminated his employment. I continued working 2nd shift had a hard time getting along with shift supervisor his technical and communication skills I found to be lacking. Finally in April of 2014 I was hired on with Energizer Holdings. Safety became apparent to me was not really a concern; people were being shocked and injured. Machines not properly grounded or the right connectors. Compounding is my major concern it is a wet environment 480volt motors on rubber wheels; the cabling is not retrained by a stainless wire loom connectors. Wire connections are always being pulled apart, because the wrong connector is being used. Several people have been shocked since I have been working here. The next episode I was told that the company would provide steel toe boots as they were required. All I ever wore since starting to work at Energizer were black tennis shoes. I tried several times to go get some boots, they would tell me at the store I was not on the list. I told team leader I am unable to get boots he said he would contact safety manager which was a warehouse manager turned into a safety specialist. The next day he said everything is taken care of go get the boots so again on my day off I go to get some boots, again I am told you are not the list. I decided this was ridiculous, so I look up on the internet to see what OSHA requires employers to provide employees' The next day I am told I am on a 3 day suspension. On the second day I am told to return work. I go into a conference area Where HR, and manager with his exceptionally purple nose is present. The suspension was a mistake. Since that day every day at Energizer has been hell. I assume the manager has told his underlings to make life for me difficult. The everyday communication and work detail has changed. maintenance is obviously an alcoholic. The last incident involved the labeler on F002. I get called to the machine the operators say the machine will not label after they come back from break. It will not label or do a vision inspection. I do the usual check for blown fuse or loose wire and find nothing wrong. On two other occasions I had this same problem the encoder was bad. So I assume that this is the case with this labeler so I replace the encoder and 5 labels are placed on the bottle and 5 pictures are taken, then it quits. By this time it is pretty much the end of the shift. The day next I come in maintenance. They are talking about some machine in printing. Then they bring up loose wire on the labeler. As we walk up some guy I do not even know is telling the operators that I never even checked the electrical cabinets. I told him that was a lie. We go to the machine team leader shows me supposedly what he found. All the while the guy that was in the hall screams at me in a nasty tone and says “turn around and look at me when I am talking to you”. I turn around and look at this man square in the eyes as requested. This guy should have been terminated or at least written up for talking to someone disrespectfully and slander. But, no I am called and told once again I am on suspension, for what I do not have a clue. Name was changed to Edgewell bit same place.

Pros

Company is good with the communication, and they genuinely care about the people.

Cons

Many plants within the organization lack structure and the management was not proactive to retain the experienced staff which creates delays in the projects.
