Pros

Ability to work part or full time remotely was great for three years. This year, however, although I still have a contract, I have been offered zero classes.

Cons

Inconsistency of available classes makes this difficult to rely on as a main job

We’re glad to hear you’ve appreciated the flexibility and opportunity to teach remotely over the past few years! We understand your concerns about class availability and the impact it can have on consistency. Our scheduling and class allocations are influenced by various factors, including school partnerships and enrollment cycles, but we continue to work toward providing more predictable teaching opportunities. We truly value your contributions and hope that, even with a slower start this year, your experience with Elevate turns out to be both fulfilling and rewarding.

Pros

I can't think of a single one. It was an easy gig to get?

Cons

Based in India and operated according to Indian corporate norms. That should be enough to drive anyone away. It's an absolute farce of a company. They want to pay minuscule amounts of money for high-quality curriculum. The curriculum writer is, effectively, an instructional designer with full teaching qualifications and teaching experience (often in multiple states), but the pay is absolute garbage. The systems are also incredibly confusing because no one seems to want to pay for a workable, user-friendly interface.
