Pros

Here at Empower we do meaningful work every day by creating affordable medication and expanding access to care for patients who need it most. Our mission is not a statement, it is something we live every day. We face regularly changes, as healthcare is very rapidly changing environment. Despite those changes our team continues to move forward because we believe in the mission and the impact we make on patients lives. What makes Empower special is its people. group of individuals who understand the importance of our work come together and give their best creating a culture of the family, supporting each other.

Cons

Regulatory requirements continue to evolve, supply chain interruptions can impact the operations, costs continue to rise, we grow quick because of huge demand, but we don't have enough resources, tools and processes, also human resources, getting them and training takes time. The pace of growth and change creates additional pressure and requre team to adapt quick, but sometimes not everyone can do that. Recognition and fair/good compensation will help the ones who give their best to stay longer.

Pros

A few things I'd tell anyone considering Empower: We're AI- and innovation-forward, so things move quickly and actually get done. We're early enough that you get to design the foundation, not inherit someone else's. And the mission is real — everyone supports getting patients access to affordable medicine, and the care for that mission is evident in everything we do. Fast, foundational, mission-driven, and team forward.

Cons

Fast pace and a still-being-built foundation cut both ways: priorities shift quickly, some processes and tools are still maturing, and there's more ambiguity and manual work than at an established company. It's a strong fit if you're energized by building and comfortable with change — a harder one if you want everything structured and settled on day one.

Pros

What keeps me at Empower is the opportunity to grow, lead, and be part of work that actually matters. In my role, I’ve been able to help build stronger teams, improve processes, support accountability, and contribute to operations that directly impact patient care. Empower is fast-paced, and like any growing company, there are challenges. But that’s also what creates opportunity. If you’re someone who wants to take ownership, learn, lead, and make a real impact, this is a place where you can do that. I also appreciate the focus on employee wellness, including perks like free compounded medication, which is a great benefit. What I’d want someone considering Empower to know is this: come ready to work hard, grow, and be part of something bigger than yourself. There’s a lot of opportunity here for people who want to make a difference.

Cons

Nothing stands out as a con from my personal experience
