Pros
Great starting place for early career professionals looking to get into the energy consulting industry. The work is niche but after a year you catch on to the quirks. Nice people on teams and great professional development benefits. The flexibility is also amazing at ES. I find that management is empathetic to personal issues and will work with you when you need additional support during harder times in your personal life.
Cons
Depending on how well you advocate for yourself, you could get stuck with some pretty boring responsibilities or have an amazing experience and learn a lot. It can also get pretty stressful during peak times and nearing deadlines. Also, high performers lack the ability to bypass standard promotion timelines. Corporate structure is becoming more strict and salaries are extremely low given what is expected of technical staff.
