Pros

Some great products & people, but heavily outweighed by the negatives of this outdated organization and senior management team

Cons

The culture at Entrust is beyond strange. It starts with the C-Level who are so far removed from their own organization, teams and customers it is frankly frightening. It is a company run by accountants that are living in an era from 25 years ago. They have no concept of how a modern day IT organization is structured or run and the decision making at times is baffling. The marketing organization is a joke. Sales management are clueless and they do not like paying their sales team for a job well done. I find it astonishing that the CEO has remained in his position for so long. He does not care about the people that work for him outside of his 'special club' of personal friends and former colleagues that are too scared to say no or object to any of his ideas and strategies. There is no culture at Entrust, it is a very very strange place to work and their attrition rate is extremely high as a result. However people leaving is not acknowledged at all, they will blame outside influences rather than taking an honest look at their own house. The global VP sales literally has not been to see a customer in 25 years and is so far removed from reality that it is painful to watch. The CMO is a fundamental issue for the business, she just uses words for the sake of using words but again has no concept of the real world as she never goes to speak to anybody. As long as the C-level continue to pat each other on the back for a job well done and massage their own egos then Entrust will remain an awful place to work

Pros

Competitive compensation, benefits, and community involvement

Cons

Broken performance management process. Self-evaluate your performance before the year even ends and wait two months into the new year before your goals are defined from leadership - waste a quarter of the year in a gray, undefined area. Quick to throw money at purchased tools or ineffective 3rd-party resources creating more cost burden than value delivery instead of actually fixing broken processes. Lost industry credibility and Trust after Google fail in 2024 with a declining sales pipeline since.
