Pros

Only pro is working from home.

Cons

Bait n switch from the beginning from what the recruiter will tell you from what the job actually entails. Terrible communication between HR, supervisors, trainers etc. HR from the beginning will not respond to emails at all regarding the job, benefits, or basic questions. Told by the recruiter you will be handling All live transfers, no cold calling. Only a select few received inbound calls the rest is cold calling seniors. An Auto dialer will call the same elderly person 10-15 times a day. Sometimes 3-5 times in an hour. When brought up to my supervisor that elderly medicare Customers had concerns why the number we are calling them from comes up SCAM LIKELY. I was told it happens and it was obviously my presentation that needed to be tweaked in order to get the customer to trust me. (Isn’t that what a scammer does?) We follow a script verbatum. There were constant daily Technical issues. Blue screen or Broken computers sent to 16 out of 26 people in the training class. Computer systems and programs go down consistently. If you are dead in the water and have to sit there due to computer or program issues you are told it will affect your performance and you may be penalized or let go. Hours and shifts change from what you’re told in the beginning. Favortism for the select few who receive all inbound calls. The comissions told by the recruiter would be $60 per sale. They actually only pay $25. Everything recruiter told me in the beginning was the opposite. Told when hired after your probation you reveive 3 weeks vacation and benefits. Its only 1 week. $500 Hire and Sign on bonus after training, never received or mentioned again. Training is basically slides being read from powerpoint. The only hands on training and most beneficial was when someone in the class shared their screen and demonstrated it to the rest of us. This job is not for an insurance agent. Its a telemarketing call center that mass robo dials seniors to sell them Medicare Advantage Plans. I quit after a month.
