Pros
Great co-workers that are passionate about their work. Good benefits, hybrid work.
Cons
Supervisors and managers are promoted based on who they know, not on their ability to do the job, thus creating a frustrating environment for their direct reports. Micromanagers create micromanagers due to their insecurities. Staff can be frustrated with management and lack of communication. Departments can be siloed. Serious lack of training for tasks and roles. You have supervisors on equity task force but they don’t practice it in their own groups. And of course, storm duty. Nothing like being told to report in to an AWC on a weekend for zero outages.
