Pros
* people here are really smart, they understand complex things quickly, this applies to both engineering and other departments * collaborative environment, I haven't encountered anyone who was hard to work with * the quality is to a high standard, people regularly investigate ways to improve our code / models without being told to, it makes me proud of what I'm building when my teammates care * great salary, equity, benefits * growing super fast over the last year, it's the only startup I've worked for that I feel has a lot of potential * managers care about your career growth, they tell you what's expected at your level and at the next level, and then give you plenty of opportunities to perform at the next level * the executives do a good job at communicating the strategy, it's clear where we're going and what the priorities are
Cons
* work / life balance could be improved, getting pinged in the evening is common * the downside of any high-performing team is that what's considered above-and-beyond anywhere else is just average
