Pros
Competitive Pay and Benefits. Annual raises. Monthly bonuses. PTO. Work/life balance is superb! The only reason my phone would ring for something work related on my day off would be for an absolute emergency. In this regard, ESS is something of a unicorn in my experience. Also, being closed on Sunday is a real blessing. Good culture of teamwork. Support from chain of command is always easily accessible. Good work environment. Clean and well maintained facilities. When something needs to be fixed, it is! I.T. infrastructure is almost always reliable and easy to use. Again, when there is a problem, a solution is usually only a few clicks or a phone call away. Store management is given the tools necessary to make case-by case decisions with customer care and implement them quickly with minimal delays because of needed approvals. Checks and balances are in place, but they aren't a burden.
Cons
The slow times can be really slow. But there is always something that can be done to pass the time: cleaning, organizing, etc. Delinquent tenants. . . What can be said? Some are understanding of the situation, others treat you like it's your fault they didn't pay their bill on time. Just have to remember to not take it personally. It can feel a bit discouraging and tedious to keep calling and emailing and texting the same individuals over and over again and never seem to get anywhere with them. But that's just a small part of the day-to-day.
