Pros

- full remote - unlimited vacation

Cons

Where to start… - low pay - incompetent managers and leaders. This stems from the fact that a lot of these people are under qualified or they were ops people who somehow made it into management. They have no idea what they’re doing and I’ve been at many companies - super underqualified devs. Completely honestly, these engineers are worse than computer science 101 students and boot camp students. Half of them don’t know how to google. The other half doesn’t know how to dig through a stack trace. There are no “seniors” or “principals” the ones with those titles definitely aren’t senior level engineers when comparing with senior level engineers at other companies. If you wanna skate by and do the minimum, by all means join. If you care about furthering your career, do not join.

Pros

Colleagues who are both smart and genuinely nice A fun office environment, sports-related events A fair amount of non-financial perks Approachable leadership compared to many other large companies Top tier benefit offerings Great employee resource groups

Cons

Constant restructuring of teams, especially in Tech RIFs began happening more regularly almost every year A lot of senior leadership roles are disconnected from processes and work that is happening Business growth is largely outside of the control of employees - there's lot of market and industry based factors to consider D&I is only a priority if it's required to be or if the incentives are right Career growth opportunities are much more competitive and limited at mid/senior levels
