Pros

Easily the best things about FanThreeSixty are the employees and company culture. Frankly, FanThreeSixty probably has the best culture of any company I've worked at. Most everyone gets along. Everyone has fun. There are a lot of really great people there. If you've been a professional for a while, you'll know that this is really important and not easy to find. FanThreeSixty has it. While leadership has some inexperience with people management, I believe the leadership team is good at driving the business, establishing contacts in the market, and providing direction for the company. FanThreeSixty is currently operating in the red, but I suspect that will change within the next couple years. I also suspect the onboarding of clients to happen at an increasing rate once FanThreeSixty establishes itself as a trustworthy, valuable provider of fan engagement products. There are some really promising business relationships being made. The products are fun to work on. Sports & entertainment is a fun industry. I suspect the Uphoria product (mobile) is a bit funner to work on than Dimension (web) because Uphoria is used by the fans, but both products are interesting. The teams pretty closely follow Scrum and SAFe practices. The company invested in a lot of training for this. It's pretty nice, if you come from places where dev teams loosely follow whatever methodology they claim to implement. There seems to be quite a bit of job security. If your role becomes unnecessary, they won't get rid of you. They will find a place for you, so you can continue to have employment and FanThreeSixty can hold onto a productive employee. There are some nice perks. Half off most Sporting KC merchandise, occasional free tickets to Sporting KC games, etc. You don't see Robb often, but he seems genuinely really friendly and likable when you do.

Cons

Pay & benefits are a real problem for employees at FanThreeSixty. They've been experiencing a lot of turnover within the last year because of it. Many people are not paid competitively. While interviewing for a new job, I received several offers, the lowest of which was 20% more than what FanThreeSixty was paying me. Vacation and sick time are bundled into 15 days for most people. Only 5 of those days roll over. A small company with small company pay should have a much better PTO plan. The 401k plan isn't bad (matching $1 for $1 up to 6% of your salary), but you lose all employee contributions if you leave within 2 years. The rule is ineffective and insulting. People still leave anyway. There's virtually no avenue for upward growth unless FanThreeSixty dramatically increases their number of employees. Leadership, middle management, and team leaders are firmly in place. There's just not anywhere for you to go. However, the company is good about helping employees transition into a new role, if an employee wish to make a career change. A few people have expressed interest in moving into entirely different roles, and FanThreeSixty has worked with them to facilitate that. You park in a nail-infested gravel parking lot. The good news is: the parking lot should be disappearing in the near future. The bad news is: where is everyone going to park?
