First National Bank Texas

Is this your company?

A great place to work if you have school schedule, but be aware of the heavy sales-driven work load. - Assistant Center Manager First National Bank Texas Employee Review

Pros

Scheduling flexibility, split pay between hourly and commission. Small teams allowed you to get to know each other and gel as a unit. Entry level banking for entry level customers, allowed the employees to learn all aspects of retail banking.

Cons

Fast pace with sometimes minimal training. Sales focus meant employees had to 'pester' patrons of parent store, as the bank was situated inside grocery stores. Often high-turnover of employees due to confusing management, poor training, and/or deficiencies in selection criteria. beware of ultra-feminism which leads more women and/or "feminine men" to be promoted faster than guys. The bank has a stigma of being a second-rate bank just because it caters to the second-chance customers.

Pros

Everyone is super nice! This is a great place to work! I learned a lot from this program. Onboarding was a very easy process. I was exposed to many branches of the company and given hands-on access to active projects and operations.

Cons

It's difficult to get an internship here. They don't really seem to have a standardized internship pipeline. You kind of need to know someone.
