Pros

Growing company Good pay Decent insurance and 401k Quarterly bonus checks

Cons

History of filling supervisory positions with unqualified people As it grows, it's clearly becoming more company-oriented and less people-oriented Most departments are very "clique-y". Watch your back if someone decides they don't like you

We appreciate sharing your thoughts about your work experience at Fort Wayne Metals. Because we develop new alloys, pioneer revolutionary materials and refine our products to help them perform better in medical devices, we continue to expand our workforce every year. More jobs with competitive wages and great benefits help build a better community. Our focus continues to be on our employees and making this a great place to work. One of our core values is the following: Our people are the source of our strength. That's apparent in the numerous employee benefits, including 401(k) with 50% company match, excellent health and dental insurance, wellness programs, on-site workout facilities, the tuition reimbursement program and competitive wages. In the words of one employee, but no doubt a prevailing sentiment among our employees: “You are not a number here. We are really treated like family. I have worked in other factories that say this. Fort Wayne Metals takes this to heart and keeps it at the core of who we are.”

Pros

Fun work, meaningful products created. Really nice events put on for employees.

Cons

Impossible to move up if you aren't friends with the hiring manager in most departments. If you don't have at least a bachelors degree, you mean nothing and will never be valued as more than a production worker regardless of your skill and accomplishments.
