Pros

Fort Wayne Metals is a family owned and oriented business, the owner truly cares about the employees and continues to invest back into the business. He goes out of his way to make sure we're happy. Also, the products we make are pretty cool, and they positively impact quality of life. The employees really care about you and your wellbeing. FWM has many growth opportunities and supports the continued education of all employees. Also, the products we make are pretty cool, and they positively impact quality of life.

Cons

There aren't really any cons that I can say would be specific to Fort Wayne Metals or would be more proliferent than at other companies. About the only thing I could say is that I think they are on the lower end of the pay scale for non-production roles.

Thank you for your years of service at Fort Wayne Metals! Like you stated above - our products often wind up in the human body and impacts the quality of life, which you're right, is pretty cool! We work hard to ensure our compensation is fair and equitable, in fact, we use a suite of tools in order to annually assess national data and benchmarks to ensure we stay competitive. We recognize the importance of making sure our people are trained properly and set up to be successful. We are also always working to get better so thanks for your feedback regarding accountability and ownership.

Pros

Fun work, meaningful products created. Really nice events put on for employees.

Cons

Impossible to move up if you aren't friends with the hiring manager in most departments. If you don't have at least a bachelors degree, you mean nothing and will never be valued as more than a production worker regardless of your skill and accomplishments.
