Pros

I stated here almost 3 years ago and it's been amazing journey. Started as a Wire-drawer and since have applied for 2 positions and have gotten them I now run my own team. It's a welcoming environment and the senior worker always willing to teach you what they have learned over the years. The culture is family oriented. My last employer when we got bought out the culture was the first thing thay went and so did the moralle of the team. It was more profit driven. This place at least makes an effort to correct their wrongs, and treat you like you matter. You would think places like this don't exist anymore. The pay is pretty decent and the bonuses are good as well, they try every year to give cost of living increase and compensate you well. There a shift differential and senority differential. Work life balance is very good. No mandatory OT.

Cons

Still having some staffing issues,

Thanks for taking the time to write a review! It’s wonderful to hear our employees are exploring growth opportunities within Fort Wayne Metals. We have several instances where employees are in a different position than where they started, and it sounds like you really used your goals to guide you to get you where you are today. Being part of a good culture helps make those career growth opportunities available and more rewarding when you get to work with people you enjoy. Thanks for sharing and for the 5 star review!

Pros

Fun work, meaningful products created. Really nice events put on for employees.

Cons

Impossible to move up if you aren't friends with the hiring manager in most departments. If you don't have at least a bachelors degree, you mean nothing and will never be valued as more than a production worker regardless of your skill and accomplishments.
