I would recommend working on the corporate side of the firm because the legal department is controlled by the managing partners, whom are moreover unpleasant to work under. Client service managers pass on work to their team. Senior managers have no accountability and pass on the blame rather than educate, assist, and provide feedback. Then again, you won't expect it from them. You will soon witness the immaturity, favoritism, nepotism, and ill-manners that trickles from the top, down.
