Pros
The people care about each other and the work that they're doing. Helping people move to/stay in the US does feel like a good cause to be working for, which really helps keep you motivated. Also, this is not a white guys' club of a law firm. There are a lot of women and a lot of people of color who work here and who are valued. They really are committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Cons
The organization is extremely poorly managed. Everything happens at the last second. It seems like everyone is always overworked. The system for organizing physical documents was so bad that it basically didn't exist. Despite these shortcomings, I never heard anything about initiatives to improve things. I guess everyone is always so busy trying to meet the next impending deadline that there's no time to invest in making long-term improvements?
