Pros
High volume means that there is lots of opportunity to gain great work experience with direct client interaction. Support staff is also very knowledgeable.
Cons
Poor management at all levels. High volume leads to a lot of burnout at associate and caseworker levels. No firm loyalty if you offer even constructive criticism, or if you are on opposite end of political spectrum from managers. Firm is very protectionist and right-leaning. No such thing as work-life balance with very high billing targets, which are set in opaque manner.
