Toxic culture comes from the top down - Administrative Professional Franciscan Children's Employee Review

Pros

If you are a medical, therapeutic or mental health pediatric professional and are passionate about helping children and families then you might be able to overlook the major organizational issues.

Cons

Extremely toxic culture trickles down from senior management all the way down the line. If you are a non medical professional and not senior staff, you are disposable. Senior leadership has no concern for the well-being of their staff. Gossip and hearsay create an environment in which unless you are high enough on the ladder, you have to constantly watch what you say and there is a constant sense of distrust. High turnover is not surprising based on the lack of support and overall neglect of employee wellbeing, not to mention major issues with compensation and diversity concerns. If you are not white, straight, and Catholic, you will be made to feel uncomfortable or unwanted on a regular basis. It is an extremely negative environment and there are many better-run and managed hospitals in the area. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for employment.
