Pros
The people you work with and the friends you make end up being the only reason you stay. They pay slightly more than other places but it is just so you feel like you can’t leave.
Cons
There is no work-life balance, managers and above will brag about how much they do and what long hours they work. They brag about the things they miss to come to work. My coworkers and I were told that if we were not already working over 40 hours a week we shouldn’t be asking for help from peers. Do not expect anybody to listen to your suggestions, this is the type of place that wants you to sit down, be quiet, and do as you are told. If you suggest ways to improve you will be ignored because management who haven’t worked on the floor in 20+ years know better than those doing it day in and day out. There is little to no room for growth/improvement within the hospital.
