Pros

Good employee rates on loans? Otherwise nothing.

Cons

Supervisors/Managers aren’t necessarily great. Pay is okay for where I’m at, but considering they got rid of the teller position and now everyone is considered a CSR, we’re doing double the work. Atmosphere around the offices between coworkers is pretty tense most of the time. Witnessed lots of complaints, fighting, dirty looks, slamming doors even yelling between coworkers. Training is NOT a main focus. I had about 3 hours of total training on account openings, then wasn’t given the opportunity to use my new skills for months, randomly placed in a desk for the day and was expected to then remember everything. Training for new products is usually one hour tops. Training varies from office to office so you never really know what everyone knows, I’ve had to show some people who’ve been there 5 years longer than me how to do really basic things. You’d think with such a serious job being we handle thousands of dollars a day they’d be more interested in training. They don’t keep it a priority to update ourselves on training, then throw us a giant book of things we should have to know if we’re audited and get mad if we don’t know them. Ive offered to help out whenever I can, when people need a day off or were in between employees, but I feel like I’m completely taken advantage of at this point. The “are you available to stay late” has turned not “I need you to work this” and getting sent my updated schedule to work doubles or longer hours when I was never asked or even told I’d be working at another branch 15+ hours more than I normally do. Promised my position was 1-2 Saturday’s a month. I have been working in my new position for almost 4 months and have had 1 Saturday off in 16 weeks. They rate who works how many Saturdays off depending on seniority and your position. I’m a part time employee and have been here 2 years, no reason I should be told one thing and then have to do the complete opposite. There’s also the fact that I’ve been so willing to help out but it’s the end of the world when I ask someone to stay an hour late for me. I’ve never once turned down working someone’s shift, but no one will ever help me out.
