Pros
Flexibility (timings, work from home)
Cons
Very low compensation package, bureaucratic, leadership (VPs, SVPs) has no real leadership qualities, going overboard in the name of cost cutting (at the same time, CEO and leadership receive outrageous bonuses), non-transparent promotion and HR guidelines and policies, CEO tries to 'motivate' by bullying and rhetoric, etc. Recently HR has started parroting the talk of senior leadership, that Genpact is a good place to work because of "great training programs" and "we help you build careers", a distinct departure from their earlier talk of "we pay right" which isn't parroted anymore. The courses offered through the tie-up with IIMs are a farce, and for quite some time now, again in the name of cost cutting, many such programs are on hold. Six Sigma and Lean initiatives are laughable, and the quality of such projects is pathetic. BD people are always on "do or die" mode, and are programmed to answer in the positive to every demand that a new (prospective) client makes. Lower down the line, managers get burnt trying to fulfill impossible expectations and promises. All in all, totally pathetic company.
