Pros

Great work-life balance if you're working from home, could be different now depending on how many days the branch is in the office. The Chicago Genpact branch is a contractor for a large CPG company in Chicago so at this location, you'll gain good experience in supply chain/logistics and consumer packaged goods. Mostly younger employees, good comradery when in the office.

Cons

Zero wage growth and no transparency from management on plans for the branch/office. No annual salary increases, even with inflation, you can only receive salary increases from promotions, but the raises aren't immediate or even guaranteed and the promotions are scarce. This depends on what department you work in, but most managers are checked out and not helpful. The turnover rate is very high and most employees are new and or started within the last year. Unless you're managing to switch departments often I wouldn't recommend working here longer than a year. Again, depends on what department you're in, but the holiday schedule is awful. Most major holidays are scheduled as "float days" meaning you're expected to work unless you find someone to cover for you.

Pros

Market rate compensation, not much else

Cons

AI is dismantling Genpact’s services-focused business model. The result is a toxic work environment with a dying culture: fear of layoffs, unclear goals, constant turnover, and remaining employees absorbing multiple roles as colleagues are fired or leave.
