Pros

Weekends off, great co-workers, helping people that deserve the help

Cons

All CURO cares about is making money. They do not care about the patients or the staff. CURO screws Medicare daily, and American's are paying Larry Graham to be a wealthy man! Google him and learn a little about his history. True American greed. I've been with the company for 2 years and they continue to buy small Hospice agencies when they can't run the offices they have. Offices are struggling and begging for help, while the top dogs are celebrating new locations. They expect you to know everything when you get NO direction. You are basically thrown into a position to learn as you go. Corporate never mentions patient care, much less does anything extra for them. They are entirely in the business for the mighty dollar. During Christmas, staff bought the patients gifts out of their own pockets. Because the staff members actually care! Corporate do nothing during the holidays, because they are at home enjoying their big paychecks while the staff get stuck in all the office without so much as a HAPPY THANKSGIVING or MERRY CHRISTMAS. No card, no email and certainly no Christmas bonus. You only get the holiday itself off. The insurance is a joke and you probably can't afford it anyway. Staff that drive too many miles are forced to use a company car, that they actually have to pay on. This company is a sinking ship.....don't waste your effort or time trying to make it any better.

Pros

Good pay and benefits mostly

Cons

Shady management and lack of growth opportunities. When Promedica was acquired the CIO came over from Promedica and brought all of his friends over with him. My boss was one of his plants. My boss then brought over his bestie from Promedica and immediately started giving her all the career building work. He completely passed over the legacy Gentiva employees in favor of his bestie. 3 months later the CIO announced cuts needed for cost savings. No Promedica people were let go just Gentiva employees. 2 months later several Promedica employees were given raises and or promotions. In January of 2026 we had reviews. It came to be known that my boss gave his bestie the highest score on the team effectively giving her a nice raise. She had only been at the company 6 months and had no goals set. I was given a much lower score and the reason was not having good knowledge of something I asked leadership for training on but never received. I called my boss out on these things and even went to HR (huge mistake). He then found some pretext behavior of mine that occurred months before my complaints. I was never spoken to about the behavior or given steps to correct. Proving he was reaching. I was fired shortly after. Sr management is corrupt and is not transparent. Run don't walk away from this company.
