Pros
Very good company atmosphere. Open door policy with the owners. Paid training and you can ask/receive for help and support for your particular case from coworkers. Company culture is surprisingly open and inclusive for an industry that employs a lot of people who are naturally introverted.
Cons
At the time (2012), the benefits were awful. Not a lot of choice and very expensive for what it was. However, they were undergoing changes for the year 2013 so it could be completely different now. At the time of my employment, I didn't even try to buy them. However, they do pay your premiums if you are single. There is a lack of upward mobility in the company. By virtue of how the business is set up, you have Patent Analyst, one or possibly two other positions above you, and then the owners. Needless to say that in order to receive a raise requires a promotion and that will be governed by how quickly they can expand.
