We have some wonderful people who want to make a difference. We have some wonderful residents who just want the respect and care they deserve.
Cons
We also have staff that just go through the motions, not acknowledging them as people. Sometimes the bad can demotivate the good. We need to make sure that the patients are well cared for both physically, and mentally. Remember the two most important areas in a residents life are food, and entertainment. You cant go cheap on either of them. Keep a close eye on both departments to assure all that can be done is being done. I have seen too many holidays go by without proper recognition. Take care when hiring a concierge. this is to be the maker of wow moments, and the defuser of bad situations. They should be bubbly, and can force a smile from the grumpiest of patients. In this position luke warm will get you luke warm reviews.
