Pros
I have honestly tried to come up with a positive statement, but I have none. Hopefully, changes will be made, but I seriously doubt this will happen soon. The Rehab/Facility side of the business seems to operate with less confusion than Home Health.
Cons
1. Upper management-the absolute rudest group of Executives that I have EVER encountered. 2. Complete chaos-everyone needs to embrace change, but here it is is daily/weekly changes. Constantly scratching your head trying to keep up and adjust accordingly. 3. Do not attempt to ask questions or offer suggestions. If you do, there will be repercussions. 4. There is no home/work life balance. We spend hours every night attempting to complete tasks, reports and schedules. (and the focus of all your work will change within a couple of days) 5. Massive amount of turnover! Executives down to clinical staff. 6. Nothing you do will ever generate, "Great job." It will always be more, more, more. "What more could you have done?" "What will you do next time to get more?" 7. I have been here almost a year. I do not feel secure or safe. Decisions are made and implemented at the drop of a hat, without any regard for their employees. 8. You will never receive a straight forward answer about anything! You will receive an email telling you what to do OR what not to do. THE END! If you respond with a questions, they will not be answered. 9. You have to relay on your fellow employees for assistance and guidance. But, be careful, statements can spread quickly! 10. Protect yourself, document everything. It is very sad, but there are some unscrupulous Executives/Managers that will alter conversations or statements to suit their agenda or cover their mistakes. Do not ever bring these things to the attention of other managers, they protect their own, but it is a good to start this "best practice" immediately upon hire!
