Pros
Let's compare apples to apples... It means that I'm doing an evaluation using a scale for Service Companies which is neither good nor bad - it is just an attend from my side to give a fair review. Based on my experience which includes both an employment with Grid Dynamics and being a customer for different services companies during my employment outside of Grid Dynamics I would say the following: -Technical Expertise of Grid Dynamics is a way ahead of any other companies I've ever seen... These guys are really strong technically comparing with any other services company I had a deal with. From an employee point of view, it means that you will definitely have excellent colleagues - they are strong, reliable and experienced. Most of them are really nice guys. -Most of the projects give you an opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies. For sure some projects can be tedious, but if you look around there are a lot of opportunities most of the time, even if you have to work with some kind of boring things in the beginning. -The current C-level team and most of VPs in GD are great (BTW, in the past GD had many great execs as well). -The company is relatively small - it obviously has its own benefits. You know most of the people and can easily get attention from executive level if you need help for better delivery. They were acquired, but it happened after my leaving, so have no idea what is the impact. -I believe that acquisition will bring a lot of new opportunities on Chinese market which is great. -Compensation in GD is much better than in any other service company. For those in US office who complains, I suggest making a fair comparison. -A lot of correct and effective moves as the company is growing. -Personally, I'm very thankful to Grid Dynamics as they gave me great experience, a lot of opportunities and a really good chance to go ahead with my career. On top of that, I met a lot of great people there and some of them became my good friends.
Cons
-In some very rare cases, loyalty means more than experience and skills. At the same time, may be it is good for business in certain circumstances.
