Pros

Of all the players in the "coupon" industry, Groupon is the most technologically advanced and carries the best reputation worldwide.

Cons

Overqualified sales reps. They hired young, eager graduates out of major universities, and promised them upward mobility, yet there is little room to grow within the company. If you're making a lot of phone calls and closing lots of contracts, you might get "promoted" to a top-10 market. And if you're prepared to be hung-up on by 49 of the 50 merchants you speak with in a day, you might be able to slide a deal onto the page. Cross your fingers that subscribers open their email and buy this deal, because if they don't, you're not making commission that month. You're working in a call-center and cold-calling's your job. You're fighting with vendors, lying through your teeth, telling them that Groupon won't hurt their business, then begging them to sign up,

Learned a great deal here. My first big guy job and the responsibilities kept me focused and motivated. I grew a lot as a person at Groupon as well
