Pros
We have union support and are paid a few dollars more per hour then our counterparts outside the airport. We also do less work than them and union protection means we can take days off when we want without getting fired.
Cons
We pay close to $80 per month in union dues and parking fees. While it is possible to work here for decades, you won't get anywhere near middle class by doing it. Managers with 20+ years at this company make less than $20 per hour, which is nothing by LA standards.
