RUN, don't walk, RUN AWAY! - Store Manager Hibbett Sports Employee Review

I worked here for over 10 years, and was a store manager for 8. I worked a minimum of 48 hours a week and spent so much time away from my family, including Thanksgiving, for mediocre pay. I almost had to miss the birth of my son because we were short staffed and district manager didn't want to call in help! You get two holidays off, Christmas and Easter, but it should barely be counted as a "holiday" since your other off days are taken away those weeks. This company does not care for their employees at all. You will only be a number. I was fired a week before Christmas with a pregnant wife and 2 year old at home for some stupid policy violation that should be illegal to be fired for. I was let go with no warning and no severance and no vacation pay, even though I had 7 days ACCRUED! I loved this company and gave it my all, and increased revenue and even won awards, but at the end of the day, they don't care about you. If you're a college student, it's great because they work with your schedule, but for anything more, RUN away!
