I had a really disappointing experience working at Home Genius Exteriors. At first, they present themselves as a fun, easygoing company where hard work leads to promotions and great pay. But that illusion fades fast.
They will hire anyone who can commute to the office, failing to mention that the job requires door-to-door sales every single day—rain, snow, or freezing cold. They dangle the promise of quick promotions, but even top-performing reps exceeding quotas are told there’s “no room” for them to move up, while directors fast-track their friends instead. It quickly becomes clear that favoritism, not performance, determines success here.
The drama within the company is exhausting, and the pay simply does not make up for the long hours and constant grind. Worst of all, they take advantage of your time without fairly compensating you, all under the guise of being a "growing startup." If you're considering working here, be warned—this place is not what it seems.
