Pros

Iv only been working at homeserve for just over a month but I have to say the journey from my interview, through training and then out onto the floor was great, starting a new job is always scary but at homeserve I have felt so supported all the way, I have never felt like I'm alone. The morning huddles are great and a really good way to get the latest updates on how the company is doing and all the things that are going on, the activities are great too and they really do engage employees, no process is a smooth process but with the support and help of others this journey has been great and I look forward to the rest of my journey, I have to say though my biggest pro has to be that I was kept with my team who I trained with so I have a little team of friends who all support each other. Homeserve is a great place to work.

Cons

My only con is that when the toilets are being cleaned they are completely out of order and as break is only 10 minutes having to use the upstairs toilets does take abit of this time away.

Thank you so much such an honest and thankfully positive review. We do try hard to focus on our People as working on the phones is not easy. I know because I've done it. I wanted to address your idea regarding the cleaning of the toilets. I understand your point. I don't get a formal break but I know that sinking feeling you get when you head to the toilet late for a meeting only to find it being cleaned; We all know that feeling. It is a difficult job working on the phones and I know you need your well deserved breaks. It’s an interesting point you make but imagine if you were one of our cleaning ladies (right now they happen to all be ladies) and had to quickly clean toilets used by hundreds of People. Would you want to be in there cleaning as People continued to use them? Would it be safe to mop the floor? Also, I just checked and in the Ryder Building it is 40 steps down/up the stairs, or 21 seconds, from one toilet to the next at walking pace. My suggestion would be to donate those 20 seconds to the cleaners so they can have an easier time doing a very difficult job…and say a big thanks to them next time you see them!

Pros

Great exposure and a chance at a full time offer if you make the internship count.

Cons

Definitely a learning curve as with any company so you need to speak up and ask questions.
