Pros

Opportunity to learn new skills in your field by working across different teams

Cons

Long hours and unfair expectations. Expected to stay on late nights, weekends, and holidays -- though I fear this is an industry standard. Regardless, upper management maintains an "it is what it is" attitude when asked to work outside of normal hours and over 40 hours a week (with no overtime). Everybody I know in my department is overworked, underpaid, and every team is understaffed.

Pros

Office events, "unlimited" PTO (unless you have to work over Christmas break or weekends as many teams do), work on big-name accounts and advance your career

Cons

Your experience will vary greatly depending on your team. Mine is toxic, constantly passive-aggressive, and severely overworked. Classic case of people promoted to manager based on performance, but then not trained on how to be a leader. Management couldn't care less about your personal life and your struggles, and that's only part of why so many people are leaving
