Pros

- Horizon used to be a great place to work. However the company has changed a lot in my 5 years at the agency and it's no longer the same company I started my career at. I would avoid reading past reviews as it is a completely different agency.

Cons

- The CEO preaches us to not have a one size fits all approach. Meanwhile he is mandating us to come into the office 3 days a week. Mandating the exact days. No flexibility to even choose which work for you. - The CEO preaches environmental sustainability. No disposable utensils, cups, etc for employees. Meanwhile he has a private plane and car service. - The CEO will be the face of a town hall when there's positive news to share, but then hide behind emails like return to office. - The CEO talks about the importance of mental health, but then completely ignores asking employees about their sentiment in returning to office and impact to their lives. - The CEO uses broad words like "better together" but doesnt back up data in any way to show how we are "better together" - The CEO and upper management have assigned seats, desks, offices with general employees have a "Hotel" policy where they dont have an assigned desk, any of their day-to-day items, etc.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear you have concerns about our culture. We put deep consideration into the decisions and policies that will guide and support Horizon’s award-winning culture, and work hard to create an environment that empowers our employees to build fulfilling and personalized paths at Horizon. We explored our post-pandemic chapter and our office return policy with a focus on caring for our community, advancing our exceptional media services for clients, and fueling Horizon’s spirit of innovation and collaboration. We know our employees have lives to manage and change can be challenging. It was important to acknowledge this in our plan and provide our community advanced notice and a transition period to reacclimate to in-office time. It’s why we introduced a staggered approach to our office return with 2-days beginning in Sept, and 3-days kicking off early in 2024. We also know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to creating an optimal workplace, we believe our path forward supporting our hybrid experience considers our collective and individual needs. Our modified in-office schedule is about much more than a return to physical space. We are encouraging a return of the incomparable collaboration, communication, relationships, and socialization — driving connections, team synergies, more effective brainstorming, greater innovation, increased productivity, and growth that benefit us as an organization and as individuals. We encourage you to read the Office Return Fall 2023 FAQ distributed. In it, you’ll learn more about how we’ll approach things like hoteling and continued support for individual flexibility. We care deeply about the well-being of all our employees and offer robust mental health services through our benefits. We would like to engage directly so we can hear more from you and collaborate on solutions. We encourage you to speak with your manager or a member of Human Resources.

Pros

Office events, "unlimited" PTO (unless you have to work over Christmas break or weekends as many teams do), work on big-name accounts and advance your career

Cons

Your experience will vary greatly depending on your team. Mine is toxic, constantly passive-aggressive, and severely overworked. Classic case of people promoted to manager based on performance, but then not trained on how to be a leader. Management couldn't care less about your personal life and your struggles, and that's only part of why so many people are leaving
