Pros

They offer some pretty decent benefits, including a week of complimentary room stay at most of their hotels. Pay is also pretty good, and the human resources office is great.

Cons

Most of the managers are completely incompetent and poorly trained. They micromanage your every move, criticize often and rarely praise good performance. When it comes to personal life (school, children, etc), the hotel will not help make any adjustments for you. Being 1 minute late will get you a write-up, even with a legitimate excuse. Also, any suggestions given to management at any level to make the workplace run more smoothly are almost never implemented.

Mass layoffs was a huge issue as that is why I am no longer with the company.

Pros

The comp night offerings were great and compensation was fair. If you meet quota you get a bonus

Cons

This likely varies between properties depending on hotel management. Everyone in the events and sales departments are overworked, so employee turnover is high, which just compounds the issue. Management has difficulty accepting feedback from employees and often promotes the yes-men. No PTO in the first year leads to quick burnout
