Pros
Good experience. Every office culture is different, and mine just so happened to allow you to gain a lot of experience in very little time, so long as you could prove you could handle it. Flexible hours, overtime pay, and a PTO hourly bank account were big pros.
Cons
The jobs are nothing special, and usually have scrupulously tight budgets. Good performance is NOT rewarded, the first few promotions are based on your time there, no exceptions. You do not have the title "engineer" unless you are licensed, no matter the experience. IT is extremely rigmarole and functional at best. Bonuses are low.
